The Blushington Blooms team had the honor of participating in an especially fun floral experience with Fleur de Villes. The goal of Fleur de Villes is to create a union between florists, audiences, and local business sponsors to enjoy the art of flowers. Sponsorship came from the Dallas Arboretum which led to an elevated floral collaboration for designing a Rococo/Regency inspired ballgown for the event.

The dress design and idea came from the teams talented lead designer Mazzi Stevens. Inspired by her love of Bridgerton and Pride and Prejudice combined with an admiration for Marie Antoinette, she joined the two period styles to create a dress that tells a unique story. Femininity and strength are exemplified through the dichotomy of pink florals and the mechanics used to create the dress. The Blushington Blooms team is proudly woman-owned and woman-run and this dress is exudes the essence of the BB team. Strength, creativity, ingenuity, and collaboration are all principles that the team exemplifies in their work.
The choice of using pinks and greens as the primary colors here was intentional to hearken the feeling of spring and femininity. Forsythia branches in the dress create the iconic large open pleated skirt seen during the Rococo eras of fashion. The headpiece also nods to the famous frilly wigs often worn by women and men alike during this time.
Final touches of the piece nods to the Dallas Arboretum and their incredible curation of foliage and flowers. The Blushington team wanted to include cherry blossom branches and of course, tulips for which the arboretum is known for during the Texas spring time.
