Hi There Beautiful Girl!
We're Jayla and Brandi and we are so glad you're here! We've been boss ladies and the heart behind Blushington Blooms a floral and event design company specializing in luxury weddings, for about three years now. We are sister-in-laws with complete opposite backgrounds and skill sets. Nonetheless, we have found this to be our biggest strength as a team of designers! We strive to create lush, unique designs and an amazing client experience for all of our brides. Our signature design style is light and airy with various depths and unique textures. We love to experiment with new foliages, berries, and blooms and are always excited when we discover new elements to incorporate into our designs. We are honored to be considered as your florist and would love to share this special season with you!
Brandi graduated from The Paul Mitchell School earning a Cosmetology Degree in 2010. She is highly trained in color theory which contributes to the artistic flow and color palettes of our designs. Our brides love consulting with Brandi because she helps them visualize their colors and textures in unique and interesting ways.
Brandi is a rock-star entrepreneur and designer. She has trained under prestigious designers such as Ariella Chezar, Naomi DeManana (Style Director at Martha Stewart), and Holly Chapple to name a few. Brandi brings fresh perspective and creative concepts to our style and designs that make Blushington Blooms different from any other florist.
Outside of work, Brandi enjoys spoiling her baby girl, River and spending time with her husband, Eric. Her other hobbies include: Dillard's shoe sales, interior design, and being involved in her church and small group ministries.
Jayla has been in the floral design industry for 6 years now and considers it to be her "dream job". In 2012, Jayla attended The Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A&M University. She later received her acceptance to Midwestern State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in General Business in 2014.
During her high school and college years, Jayla worked as a designer at two flower shops. At these jobs, Jayla had the opportunity to apprentice under experienced and accomplished designers. She also worked at a large horticultural nursery where she learned about proper plant care and preparation.
Jayla is now co-founder of Blushington Blooms. She recently traveled to Hope Flower Farm in Waterford, Virginia to study one-on-one with Holly Chapple. Holly is a highly recognized and sought after floral designer whose work has been published in a number of prestigious publications and can regularly be found in top industry blogs. She also founded The Chapple Designers which is an international network of florists and event designers who gather together every year in New York City to collaborate, learn, and create.
Outside of work, Jayla enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and two Boston Terrior pups, Kobe & Archie. Other things that interest Jayla are traveling, connecting with her fellow Chapel Designers, and shopping sprees at Homegoods.
